In this moving conclusion to the Faith on the Home Front series, Owen Slaughter returns from the battlefields of Europe to Eden, Mississippi, to keep a promise made to the dying Charlie Coltrain. Charlie's sister, Willie, is overjoyed that Owen is alive but heartsick that his amnesia means that he doesn't remember her--or the love they shared.
