A Step Further Joni
Available1 copy in collection
Joni Eareckson's first book, Joni, told the story of the diving accident that left her a quadriplegic teenager confined to life in a wheelchair--and the story of her struggle to accept her handicap.
In A Step Further, Joni relates more of her struggles and victories--her bouts with depression, despair, and loneliness--telling honestly how God has used circumstances, individuals, and events to reveal more of Himself to her and to mold more of Himself in her.
From her poignant I-wish-I-had-my-hands days to the triumphant notes sounded in the final chapter, "Heaven," A Step Further is Joni's attempt "to answer in part many of the questions people have raised regarding suffering by sharing from my own life." . . . "God had reasons behind my suffering, and learning some of them has made all the difference in the world."
